I’m working on updating my wedding galleries (long overdue), and came across one of my favorites from this season! Kirsten and Murat were married at The Cotton Room, located in Durham, North Carolina. What a gorgeous gorgeous place to hold a wedding and reception!

I traveled to Winston Salem a few weekends ago to photograph Maley and visit with Martha, a dear friend from my college days at Peace College. Martha shared that her name is a combination of 2 maiden names in her family. I think the name fits perfectly.

Livi is having a baby!

I’ve known Livi for a little over 3 years now. I was there to photograph her rehearsal dinner and help shoot her wedding at the Carolina Inn. Man, was she a gorgeous gorgeous bride! We have stayed in touch over the years, and she has been rooting for me and sending her friends my way as I have taken this incredible journey of going out on my own in the photography world. I think it is safe to say that she is a client turned friend.

I was absolutely thrilled when she let me know that she was expecting, she told me as soon as she could, and then let me know weeks later that she and Jeremy were expecting a baby BOY. They are *very* proud to be having a boy. I couldn’t be happier.

Here are a few images from our maternity session. Fletcher the dog even joined in on the fun (when he wasn’t making laps of excitement in the backyard)!

Whitney & Jamie had such a beautiful Fall wedding, and I was ever so grateful to be asked to photograph their special day. Whitney & Jamie tied the knot at Hayes Barton United Methodist, located in the 5 Points area of Raleigh, NC. I always love attending ceremonies where the minister has known the couple for a long time. In this case, Whitney has not only attended the church since she was very little, but she has also become very involved with church activities throughout the year.

What a FUN wedding reception at The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! I’ve known the Jones’ family for quite some time, but did not realize how much this side of the family likes to DANCE! A big thanks to Randy of Joe Bunn DJ Company for rocking it out and getting everyone out on the floor, and Fresh Affairs for the gorgeous gorgeous flowers! I’d also like to thank Steve for assisting me with the wedding on Saturday. Thank You!

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Emily since she was in the 1st grade, and have been photographing her family just about every other year since then. This is my personal favorite image of Emily from our photo shoot last weekend. Emily loves to sing, dance, and is getting more involved with theater at school. I cannot believe she is in 8th grade this year!

We headed to the beautiful North Carolina Botanical Gardens this afternoon to photograph EB’s senior portraits. She brought along her best friend, Elizabeth, for laughs, support, and some BFF shots. They have been friends since 5th grade.
